When Should You Meet Your Mail Order Bride?

The key question is: When is it really time to meet my woman?

Lesson 1: Don’t rush.

Lesson 2: But don’t wait too long either.

Within a few months (let’s say after ten long letters - and the more, the better) you should either visit your lady, or at least set a date for your meeting. The latter is especially important if your holidays are still far away. Your lady needs something to look forward to.

Don't forget that she might be corresponding with other men who may want to meet her as well.

Visit her in her home country, and see how your lady is in everyday life.

You can also invite your lady to visit you in your country. Visa regulations and income figures make it difficult (if not impossible) for mail order brides to travel abroad, so you will have to support her. But remember this: never send her money for the trip if you haven't met her before.
If you live in the States, you can even forget about this option: single foreign women from non-western countries (almost) never get a tourist visa for the US, unless they are really rich.

Meeting in a third country is easier. Travel agencies in Russia for example, offer tours to Europe which makes it not too difficult for her to visit EU countries.
No matter how great it sounds to meet in romantic Paris, you can't expect to see a lot of each other if you're both strangers in a strange land.

Use your meeting to find out if she's really the kind of woman you hope she is, and if she thinks that you are the man that she wants.

Some men keep on corresponding with two or three women, and then meet them all during a two-week round-trip. It may work, but keep in mind that if a woman finds out that she was running a race for being yours, romance might be spoiled in a second.

One thing you have to do, is decide about your future before you leave.

If you think you don’t match, tell her. It’s not a pleasant thing to say, but it should be made clear for both parties.
