Once you are in Russia, interpreters are too expensive to follow you the whole day, and they’re also not recommended if you are keen on a little privacy.

Not surprisingly, a good relationship is much quicker established if your lady already speaks some English.
This does not mean you should wipe out all the ladies that speak no or poor English, but you should be aware of the problems poor language knowledge may cause.
It's not wrong to expect some time and effort from a mail order bride to learn English or her man's native tongue. After all, if she had not expressed her wish to find a foreign man, there would be no correspondence at all.

One word of warning: some marriage agencies offer English lessons for women. Don’t pay for it, as long as your relationship is not serious. Sometimes these courses do not really exist and are just mentioned to make extra money, or the quality is just poor.
